According to Wikipedia
Murphy’s law is an adage that is typically stated as: “Anything that can go wrong will go wrong”.
Having lived my whole life with “Murphy” as my last name it was always easy for our family to chalk up any stroke of bad luck to Good ol “Murphy’s Law!” As a kid we had a boat that appropriately displayed the phrase proudly on the stern and wouldn’t you know it…the boat caught on fire! I would venture to say that if my Dad could go back in time he might have thought differently on the name of that boat. That boat spent more time out of the water than in the water! Interestingly the phrase actually derives from a 1877 report by Alfred Holt who was part of an engineering society. see below for more from Wikipedia.
It is found that anything that can go wrong at sea generally does go wrong sooner or later, The human factor cannot be safely neglected in planning machinery. If attention is to be obtained, the engine must be such that the engineer will be disposed to attend to it.
However, my goal of this blog lies in the hope that one day “Murphy’s Law” will have a whole new meaning and it will be a common phrase used in the World of Adoption and more specifically in its relation to the term “Birth Father”
I have decided to start this blog because there is a boy out there who has a Daddy or “Birth Father” that he has yet to meet. Not because of his decision and definitely not because of my decision. In fact, up until about 45 days ago I never even knew I had a son. How could this be you ask? Great question, please let me tell you…..
